Bangkok, Thailand: An elderly Thai woman sitting on the side of a street, with a face expressing defiance, sadness, pride and sorrow.

She is a 75-year-old widow who has lived in a Bangkok slum for more than 40 years. Since she does not have an ID or a health-care card, she cannot receive any help from the government. Yay Pad’s “home” is really more like a tent with no walls and only some plastic for a roof. If it rains, she gets wet. The blanket she uses at night is not enough to protect her from the rain or from the snakes.

This was captured in the dim light seeping down from above, with the rain drizzling down. The photo really captures the combination of cool, dampness and darkness underneath the Bayon Temple.

Statue of a man and horse in Ancient City. Ancient City is a large park near Bangkok with relics, buildings and replicas from all parts of Thailand.

This is a really cool statue, I love the emotion on the face of both the man and the horse, and coupled with the high contrast of this photo makes for a stellar shot.

This is an oldie, but it was one of those days that the light was perfect, and I got a heap of killer shots. I will probably roll a few more of these out, because they just captivate me again and again.
